Abstract: Wet Si bulk micromachining enables producing hexagonally shaped waveguides (WH) with superior performance and are applicable to low THz frequency range. We discuss the fabrication process, hexagonal cross-section analysis, and balance between loss mitigation and operational frequency band of WH.
