Abstract: Between May and July 2008, an field campaign was organized in the frame of the HABISTAT project (SR/00/103). Satellite hyperspectral images of CHRIS-PROBA were acquired for two Belgian test sites: Kalmthout and Dijle Valley. Around the time when the satellite images were acquired, a field campaign was organized to measure the spectral profiles of different habitat types. Ground measurements from extended locations using two ASD spectroradiometers were gathered. This report describes the details of the campaign and the comparison of ground measurements and the spectral profiles derived from multi-angular CHRIS/Proba images.
The field campaign was carried out in collaboration with Valaamse Instelling voor Technologisch Onderzoek(VITO), Instituut voor Natuur-en Bosonderzoek (INBO) and Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). The team is made up of the following people: Pieter Kempeneers (VITO), Birgen Haest (VITO), Jeroen Vandenborre (INBO), Jonathan Cheung-Wai Chan (VUB), Luca Demarchi (VUB) and Jianglin Ma (VUB).
