Database Integration: a framework Host Publication: Finds and Results from the Swedish Cyprus Expedition: A Gender Perspective at the Medelhavsmuseet Authors: K. Raczka, M. Stoufs and B. Jansen Publication Date: Dec. 2006
Abstract: In this paper we propose a generic framework based on multi-agent technology for the integration of distributed medical data sources. Rather than focusing on high level issues, such as the matching of schemas and semantic heterogeneity, our framework is tackling technical issues in a very efficient and elegant manner. Our framework provides an efficient solution to the problems nowadays encountered in integrating databases containing EPR. The framework is not oriented towards specific database architectures. Hence, the concepts developed in this paper can be applied to a wide range of systems. External Link.
