Abstract: Aim: This study aims to determine the available evidence for the predictive power of frailty status (pre-frail and frail) in community-dwelling older adults for the incidence of hospitalisation and mortality.Methods: Web of Science, PubMed and PsycInfo were systematically screened for prospective studies regarding the relation between frailty and hospitalisation or mortality. Odds Ratios (OR) and Risk Rations (RR) were extracted and/or calculated and meta-analyses were conducted in Open MetaAnalyst to assess the association between frailty status and the likelihood of hospitalisation or premature mortality.
